Want your Church Biblical and relevant?

Then why not try midweekchurch

press release

Why do a large majority of Australians believe in God, but only 5% of them make it to Church on a Sunday? Why do only 1% of kids now go to Sunday School?

Is it due to location? Time? Convenience? Style? Music? Busyness?

Well one new Church has been asking themselves these questions. Now armed with some answers they are ready to challenge convential thinking by trying something completely new.

They will keep the Bible’s message of our need to fix up our relationships with God, our community and with each other but will repackage them with a NEW day, a new TIME, a new PLACE and with a new VISION.

midweekchurch is that Church and on Wednesday 18th October they will meet for the first time at the Terranora Public School at 6pm.

“We realised that the Church had to change”, says Rev Stephen Taylor, one of the driving forces behind the new Church. “But we didn’t want the essentials to change. So we have kept the same commitment to the Bible and prayer but packaged it in a way that would better speak to the families in our community.”

That packages involves Fun/Work at 4:30pm, an hour where qualified teachers and their helpers will assist the kid’s homework as well as provide them with games and puzzles. Following this will be a free dinner at 5:30pm. Then midweekchurch will begin at 6pm and end by 7:15pm. So there will be plenty of time to get the kids to bed for school the next day.

“We think in this way we will better interact with our community, says Stephen. “It will also be ideal for the busy family with young kids, those ho work on the weekends or those who have yet to find a Church family. Anyone in fact who wants to grow in their relationship with God.”

“So why not come along and give us a try. It might just be the Church that you are looking for!
