 ANNOUNCEMENTS

* NCLS. After Church tonight we are asking everyone over the age of 16 to stay for an extra 15-20 minutes to fill in the National Church Life Survey. This is done every 5 years and will give us an idea of how we are going in our faith as both individuals and a church. The results will be helpful for both our leadership and the Church Australia wide as we make our plans for the future. So please grab a cup of coffee and a pen and fill it in for us.

* Church Camp. Is now only 2 sleeps away! If you haven’t told Earle or Kaylene you need to do so TONIGHT. Don’t forget we are meeting firstly on Friday at 5pm for dinner and talk 1 . Next it is Saturday afternoon at 3:30-6pm for afternoon tea and talk 2. And finally Sunday morning 8:45am for the BIG BREAKFAST, followed by Church and then lunch at Pioneer park with the pools, jumping castle (a bigger one this year) and loads of un. Try and come for much as you can.

* Friday Fun Night. The camp weekend 28-30th October will be even more fun for our youth as they will meet after the fist talk finishes (7:30pm) on the Friday night for a night of video Games in the Hall. So bring your Wii’s and PS3’s, your DS’s and maybe even your Atari’s! and we will have a great night

* Aim for the month – Unity. We are all one in Christ. The Bible declares it to be true. Unity is not something that we should have to work at, it is already a reality! But it is something we need to keep at the front of our minds, so we need to find ways of expressed it in a busy world. Our Church camp, congregational meetings, picnics, socials, even youth activities can help us come together across the parish and express that unity. And when we do that there are blessings that we and the Church experience.

* Tweed Coast Christian Education Association annual meeting – Last Thursday we had our annual meeting and both Stephen (President) and Kevin Montgomery were elected onto the Board. It was also decided to make Chris’s job permanent part time (for four days a week) at least until the end of the year. Please pray for the association as we seek to work hard to read all the youth of the Tweed area with the gospel of the Lord Jesus.

* Presbytery Visitation – Monday 24th October. Many thanks to those who contributed to the Presbytery’s visitation last Monday. They had profitable meetings with all of our leadership groups as well as a congregational meeting. They will consider what they have heard and present us with encouragements and recommendations by the beginning of December.

* py/cpc mission planning meeting – All the planning for the mission is beginning to get more detailed. If you would like to be involved in any of the activities such as the Men’s Breakfast, Ladies Dinner, Aurora Carols – at Terranora this year,  the billeting or any other aspect of the mission pleas put up your hand now. But also think about who you could invite to these activities as well as the invitation service we will hold on that Wednesday night. The week of the mission is Sunday 27th November to Sunday 4th December

* People Away. Have you noticed that anyone has been missing these past few weeks? Why not give them a call and see how they are going?

* Meal Roster. Would anyone like to join the meal roster? As our numbers increase we really need three names on each roster – so we are looking for another 3 people to provide a meal for around 15 people on average 7 times a year. If you could please see Jacqui.
